About

I am a 50+-year-old Texan with one, ornery cat and a supportive husband of almost 30 years. I earn a living by helping my husband’s family run a health food store in the big city, but my avocation is writing and my roots are traditional, Panhandle Plains Christian.

I hope you enjoy reading about some of my triumphs and tragedies as I continue to work on figuring out what “life” is all about and on growing my ability to share my writing and my faith by taking time to read some of my weekly blog.

You might also be interested in some of the  Christian novels that I’ve published.  You can find out more about my fiction writing here. My “credentials” include a Master’s degree in English with an emphasis on creative writing. I have also taught creative writing at Texas Tech, won awards for my writing and been blessed to be mentored by Horn Professor and poet Dr. Walt McDonald.

We all have the choice to “walk by faith, not by fear.” This writing is my version of walking by faith. What’s yours?

May your own journey be a blessed one.
